Legislative & Administrative Review Processes

In 2013, Albemarle County undertook revisions to its legislative and administrative review processes in order to make obtaining a special use permit, zoning map amendment, or site plan approval as clear and efficient as possible. The result is a value-added process that provides clear expectations and reduces time lost in application resubmittal so that projects have the best chance for approval the first time around. These procedural changes were approved by the Board of Supervisors and became effective in January (Site Plans) and April (Special Use Permits & Zoning Map Amendments) of 2013. Click the links below to learn more about these new processes:
