Albemarle County's Community Advisory Committees (CACs) are committees that meet monthly to support County staff and the Board of Supervisors in implementing their development area's Master Plan.  While these committees are appointed by the Board of Supervisors, they are open to the public and provide an opportunity for open conversation about ongoing development. Each committee has a liaison from the Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors, and County Planning staff.

Click a committee name to visit their homepage, which lists current rosters, meeting information, contacts and past meeting materials.

Neighborhood Improvements Funding Initiative

ABOUT

The Neighborhood Improvements Funding Initiative (NIFI) is a one-time, Board of Supervisors’ initiative to direct FY16 fund balance to drive investment in quality of life projects across the County’s Development Areas through an inclusive, community-driven process. The “home” of the process will be at the Community Advisory Committee meetings throughout 2017. How would you improve your neighborhood? Join the conversation!

The NIFI process ran from March - November 2017, with development areas working together to identify small-scale, quality of life improvement projects for their community.
