5th & Avon Community Advisory Committee:  Two vacancies.  The Advisory Committees will provide assistance, feedback and input to County staff and the Board of Supervisors on community and county efforts related to implementation and support of the adopted Master Plan, in accordance with established county procedures.

Acquisition of Conservation Easements Committee (ACE):  Three vacancies.  Assist in the implementation of the ACE program. 

Acquisition of Conservation Easement (ACE) Appraisal Review Committee: Two vacancies, ACE representative and Real Estate professional.  The committee shall have the power and duties to review appraisals to make sure they are consistent with appropriate appraisal guidelines and practices, and to make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors.

Agricultural & Forestal District Advisory Committee:  One vacancy.  The Committee shall advise the local planning commission and the local governing body and assist in creating, reviewing, modifying, continuing or terminating districts within the locality.  In particular, the Committee shall render expert advice as to the nature of farming and forestry and agricultural and forestal resources within the district and their relation to the entire locality. Must be a landowner within the County. Preference will be given to a landowner engaged in agricultural or foresal production
. 

Albemarle County Service Authority: Three vacancies.  Establishes policies and procedures pertaining to water and sanitary sewer service to ACSA customers.

Citizens Transportation Advisory Committee (CTAC):  Three vacancies. This committee will develop and recommend updates to long-range CHART plavaluate plan progress, and recommend amendments and updated project descriptions to the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Technical Committee for endorsement and approval by the MPO Policy Board.

Equalization Board:
Six vacancies. 
The Board of Equalization shall hear all complaints and objections to real estate assessments from the taxpayer or his agent.  *District appointments*

Fire Prevention Board of Appeals/Local Board of Building Code Appeals:
 Two vacancies.  Board members shall be qualified by experience and training to rule on matters pertaining to building construction and fire prevention.

Natural Heritage Committee:  One vacancy. Serves as an advisory committee that maintains the County's Biodiversity Assessment; advise the Board of Supervisors, the Planning Commission and County staff on applying biodiversity information to land-use decision-making, and supports biodiversity education in the County.  Preference will be given to individuals in the following skill areas: GIS, conservation-related scientific experience and/or field natural-history experience. 

Pantops Community Advisory Committee:  Three vacancies.  The Advisory Committees will provide assistance, feedback and input to County staff and the Board of Supervisors on community and county efforts related to implementation and support of the adopted Master Plan, in accordance with established county procedures.


Places 29 (North) Community Advisory Committee: Three vacancies.  The Advisory Committees will provide assistance, feedback and input to County staff and the Board of Supervisors on community and county efforts related to implementation and support of the adopted Master Plan, in accordance with established county procedures.

Planning Commission: Four vacancies, At-large, Jack Jouett, Rio and Samuel Miller magisterial districts.  Promote the orderly development of Albemarle County and its environ­ment. Serve primarily in an advisory capacity to the Board of County Supervisors in accomplishing the objectives of § 15.2-2210of the Code of Virginia. *District appointments*

Public Recreational Facilities Authority:  One vacancy. The Authority accepts, holds, protects, enforces and administers open-space land and interests therein, under the provisions of Chapter 17 of Title 10.1 of the Code of Virginia 1950, as specifically prescribed by Code Section 10.1-1701.

Rivanna River Basin Commission:  One vacancy.  Provide guidance for the stewardship and enhancement of the water and natural resources of the Rivanna River Basin.

Social Services Board: Three vacancies.  This is an advisory board that monitors the formulation and implementation of social welfare programs in the county and advises the director on program and policy matters. *District appointments*

Village of Rivanna Community Advisory Committee:  Three vacanciesThe Advisory Committees will provide assistance, feedback and input to County staff and the Board of Supervisors on community and county efforts related to implementation and support of the adopted Master Plan, in accordance with established county procedures.

Workforce Investment Board: Two vacancies.  The Board will develop the vision, goals, objectives, policies, and strategic local plan, designate or certify One Stop Centers, appoint a Youth Council, and promote private sector participation.  

YMCA Board of Directors:  Two vacancies.
