AN ACCREDITED LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY
EMPLOYMENT PROCESS

 

Step 1:  Complete application online

*An invite to testing will be sent to the email address provided in your application.  Ensure that you RSVP through the link provided in the invite.  A link to complete the Personal History Statement will also be contained in the invitation.

Step 2:  Pass written examination (The National Police Officer Selection Test)

Step 3:  Pass the physical agility test

Step 4:  Pre-screen background check (criminal history and driving history)

Step 5:  Oral interview panel (competency-based questions)

Step 6:  Polygraph examination

Step 7:  Background investigation

Step 8:  Conditional offer of employment (must pass medical and psychological examinations)

Step 9:  Meeting with the Chief of Police

Step 10: Complete an 18 week regional academy, a regional SPARTAN (street patrol advanced training) academy, and field training program

Step 11: Successful completion of probationary period
