You can obtain a crash report by visiting the police department.
*Please call ahead to make sure the lobby will be open (434-296-5807)

What you need to know:

• The individual requesting the report must show valid photo identification.
• They must be the reporting party or victim listed in the report.
• Individuals who are not involved in the police incident subject to the request are not eligible to obtain a report.
• Reports can be obtained in person or a hard copy can be mailed.
• Reports cannot be emailed or faxed.

Note: Insurance companies and attorneys will be charged $10 per copy.

Online

At this time, the only report you can obtain online is a crash report.

*The Albemarle County Police Department (ACPD) reserves the right to withhold certain information or decline to release a report due to the nature of the incident. Please read the "What Reports Are Released" tab on this page for more information.

You can obtain a copy of your crash report online at crashdocs.org/va-albemarlecountypd. There will be a $10.00 charge for your report.

• Date of Accident
• Report Number
