Purpose

Albemarle County's Community Advisory Committees (CACs) are committees that meet monthly to support County staff and the Board of Supervisors in implementing their development area's Master Plan. CAC members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Each committee has a liaison from the Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors, and County Planning staff.

The 5th & Avon Community Advisory Committee (CAC) meets monthly to support County staff, the Planning Commission, and the Board of Supervisors in implementing the Southern & Western Urban Neighborhoods Master Plan. These meetings are open to the public and provide an opportunity for open conversation about ongoing development in the area.

All-Community Advisory Committee Meeting: Transportation Planning and Implementation

Albemarle County's Community Advisory Committees (CACs) are groups that help the County by providing feedback on programs, policies, and plans. Albemarle County and the six CACs are partnering for an All-CAC meeting focused on transportation in the county. This meeting is open to all. You’ll learn about transportation planning from County staff, Virginia Department of Transportation, and the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission. The evening will also include a social where attendees and members from all six CACs can enjoy refreshments and fellowship, immediately following the meeting. Come on down and get engaged at this year’s first in-person All-CAC meeting! Bring a neighbor - we’ll see you there!
