Biography

Ned was born and raised in Wheeling, West Virginia. He earned a BFA in Theatre Arts and Drama from Ohio University in Athens in 1996 after which he moved to Cleveland, Ohio to work as a guest director and guest instructor for the nationally recognized Theatre Arts Department at Shaker Heights High School in Shaker Heights, Ohio. After completing post-baccalaureate classes at John Carroll University, Ned received his Ohio Teacher Certification and was hired as a full-time faculty member at Shaker Heights High School. Upon being accepted to the Curry School Doctoral Program in Social Foundations at the University of Virginia, Ned, his wife Julie, and daughter Kaitlyn moved to Charlottesville in June 2002. Fifteen years later, Ned and Julie live in the Dunlora neighborhood and their children Kaitlyn, Maggie, and AJ attend Albemarle County Public Schools.
