A Small Area Plan is a collaboratively developed plan that provides specific strategies for a community’s vision for future development within a designated area. A small area plan enables local residents and business owners to take responsibility for the future of their community and includes  actions that will be taken to protect and improve their neighborhood. Small area plans also act as policy guides for decision making.

Community participation is an integral part of the small area plan planning process. Community members are encouraged to get involved and stay informed by attending public meetings, serving on a Community Advisory Committee, signing up for email updates, reviewing the latest information on our website, and contacting us with questions and comments.
