To encourage use of electric vehicles (EVs), Albemarle County added thirteen EV charging stations at COB McIntire and COB 5th Street in 2021.
- Ten (10) Level 2 chargers with a capacity of 7.2 kW each, capable of adding approximately 30 miles of range per hour. There are eight (8) located at COB-McIntire and two (2) at COB 5th.
