Purpose

Albemarle County's Community Advisory Committees (CACs) are committees that meet monthly to support County staff and the Board of Supervisors in implementing their development area's Master Plan. CAC members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Each committee has a liaison from the Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors, and County Planning staff.

The Places 29-Hydraulic Community Advisory Committee (CAC) meets monthly to support County staff, the Planning Commission, and the Board of Supervisors in implementing the Places29 Master Plan. These meetings are open to the public and provide an opportunity for open conversation about ongoing development in the area.

Community Town Hall and Open House at the Places29-Hydraulic Community Advisory Committee Meeting

Join Supervisor McKeel for a community town hall for the Jack Jouett Magisterial District.

This town hall will begin with an open house where posters displaying current County projects will be on display. At 6 pm we will begin the presentation on:

  • Fiscal Year 2025 Budget – revenue outlooks and priority projects planned
  • Traffic and safety
  • Transportation projects in the area (recent, current, and future)

Following the presentations, the floor will open for audience Q&A.  We hope you will join us for an informative and engaging evening.
