A Floodplain Development Permit (Sec. 30.3) is required when development is proposed within the Flood Hazard Overlay District (i.e. the 100-yr floodplain), including buildings or other structures, mining, dredging, filling, grading, paving, excavation or drilling operations, or storage of equipment or materials.

A floodplain development permit for agricultural fencing is also required If you wish to put up a fence across a stream within the floodplain for agricultural use.
